Process Optimization Tailored to Your Needs
Drawing on its extensive experience in waste oil and oily sludge dewatering, Polat Makina conducts comprehensive laboratory tests on samples specific to your facility before preparing a quotation, providing detailed reports on the findings. Based on the technical characteristics of the waste to be processed, parameters such as process temperature and the selection of coagulants, flocculants, and demulsifiers are determined. Separation performance is then optimized using clarifiers or purifiers downstream of the decanter centrifuge, achieving residual impurity levels as low as 0.1–0.5%. This end-to-end approach, from heating tanks to chemical dosing, is designed to maximize hydrocarbon recovery performance in line with market requirements.
Economic and Environmental Management of Oily Sludge
Oily sludge originates from a variety of sources, including lagoons, dissolved air flotation (DAF) units, API separators, and oil pits. These waste streams are difficult to manage due to their typically high solids content, emissions, and viscosity, as well as variable parameters such as low pH, chloride content, and abrasive sand.
Advanced centrifugation systems are used to recover economic value from these waste streams and reduce the volume of waste requiring disposal. Polat Makina’s centrifuge solutions separate coarse solids using two- and three-phase decanter centrifuges and remove fine particles using high-speed separators, enabling the recovery of purified hydrocarbons for reuse.
