Operating under the umbrella of Polat Group Holding, Polat Makina San. ve Tic. A.Ş. secured its place among the first 10 projects supported in Turkey for the manufacturing of supercritical fluid extraction and centrifuge systems under the “Technology-Oriented Industry Move” program implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology to encourage domestic production and minimize foreign dependency, this strategic move prioritized the “machinery sector” in its initial phase. On Saturday, August 29, 2020, the opening of the MESS Technology Center took place with the attendance of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the ceremony, President Erdoğan personally announced the qualified companies participating in the program.

Set to be manufactured for the first time in Turkey with an industrial focus, Supercritical Fluid Extraction Systems will significantly elevate processing quality for medicinal and aromatic plants. Utilizing this system, botanical extraction is performed without heat exposure or harmful chemical solvents. Because the plant material is not subjected to high temperatures, natural compounds are extracted intact without thermal degradation. Furthermore, the global botanical extracts market is projected to reach approximately $60 billion by 2025, with this system recognized worldwide as the most advanced technology for obtaining botanical extracts today.

Building upon its global position established since 1993 in industrial centrifuge technologies, decanters, and separators, Polat Makina continues to break new ground with the “Supercritical Fluid Extraction” system, manufactured in Turkey for the very first time.
