Polat Makina to Provide Skilled Workforce to the Industry with Polat Academy

Representing Turkey across 44 countries worldwide through its locally manufactured advanced technology, Polat Makina has established Polat Academy with an investment exceeding 1 million Euros to contribute to cultivating a qualified workforce and developing skilled operators for the industry. The grand opening ceremony of Polat Academy was attended by Dr. Masahiko Mori, one of the venerable figures in the manufacturing of machine tools and metalworking machinery.

A Polat Group Holding company delivering products and services at universal quality standards to customers worldwide—with offices in Italy, Greece, and Morocco alongside its headquarters in Istanbul and Aydın, and a team of over 500 employees—Polat Makina has launched the Polat Academy project with an investment exceeding 1 million Euros to cultivate a skilled workforce and foster sustainable employment across the sector.

Through Polat Academy, potential operator candidates are provided with both theoretical and practical training under the framework of the İŞKUR On-the-Job Training Program. The initiative aims to integrate trained candidates into the industry and secure their employment, targeting the qualification of over 100 operators annually while continuously enhancing the competencies of the existing workforce.

Trainees at Polat Academy receive comprehensive instruction, including theoretical modules, hands-on training where machines and equipment are demonstrated by master instructors to develop practical skills through trial production, and supervised on-the-job training. Upon completing the program, candidates undergo theoretical and practical examinations; those who pass earn official certification and are offered employment within Polat Makina.

Training for Existing Employees and Suppliers at Polat Academy

Polat Academy will also support the development of Polat Makina’s workforce through mandatory vocational, technical, and personal development training aligned with corporate goals and strategies. By analyzing competencies and building skill matrices, the continuous growth of the existing team will be backed by targeted technical training. Furthermore, tailored training programs can be planned to support the development of Polat Makina’s suppliers upon request or identified need.
